Testing Tool for Elementary and
Secondary (K-12) Schools
Concord, NH – April
8, 2003 – HiSoftware, Inc., in
cooperation with the International
Center for Disability Resources on the
Internet, and the Internet Society
Disability and Special Needs Chapter,
has recently launched a special edition
of its AccVerify software, AccVerify
Cynthia Says Edition.
The release of AccVerify Cynthia Says
Edition follows the launch of a new web
portal, Cynthia Says™ that provides
testing of Web sites for compliance with
Section 508 and W3C web accessibility
standards. Cynthia Says™ tests Web Sites
and reports Accessibility issues
immediately through simple and
easy-to-understand Web browser based
reports. HiSoftware Company’s AccMonitor
Server powers Cynthia Says™.
Due to the popularity of the Cynthia
Says Portal, HiSoftware Company received
many requests for a downloadable version
of the software. This software is
available at no cost to K-12 schools
both for use on their own Web sites, and
for use in their computer courses and
classes on Web design. It will also be
available at a nominal cost to others.

creation of Accessible, usable, and
searchable Web sites will improve web
communications around the world.

users to ensure that their Web sites
have the functionality needed for a
diverse population of user needs and
preferences, including people with

AccVerify Cynthia
Says Edition educates users in the
concepts behind Web site accessibility.
The simple, well-designed interface puts
accessibility compliant code within the
reach of all users, even those with
little or no knowledge of Web design.
The software provides feedback to users
in a reporting format that is clear and

are detected within web sites from
Web-based applications, dynamic pages,
