business partner Law ID’s received the
order from ICTU to conduct a survey
for the technical research off all
1100 Dutch governmental websites.
Every year the
Dutch organization Advies.overheid.nl
performs the Overheid.nl Monitor. In
this survey the electronic service off
all Dutch governmental organizations
is examined and rated.
December 14, 2004
– As a part of this survey the
websites off these governmental
organizations are tested on quality
and usability. This years survey is
conducted with the content quality
solutions of HiSoftware. ICTU has
defined several checkpoints on
accessibility, usability and overall
quality of websites. Complion and her
partner Law ID’s, expert in the area
of website compliancy, defined these
checkpoints in the solutions of
HiSoftware.
By doing this, the
automated solutions AccMonitor® and
AccVerify® of HiSoftware have been
used to guarantee a structural and
uniform validation of all sites as a
start for the benchmarking. The reason
for ICTU to use this solution was,
besides the excellent testing
capabilities for accessibility
(W3CWCAG), the automated testing
possibility for usability,
searchability and the use of open
standards.
The reports of the Overheid.nl Monitor
2004 will be published in February
2005 by ICTU.
