HISOFTWARE EXPANDS ALLIANCE WITH MERCURY INTERACTIVE TO PROVIDE ADVANCED ACCESSIBILITY TESTING AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS - HiSoftware announces accessibility testing integrations for WinRunner, QuickTest Professional

Concord, NH - August 05, 2002 – HiSoftware, Inc., a leading provider of Web content accessibility solutions, announced today the integration of its award winning accessibility testing solution, AccVerify®, with Mercury Interactive’s leading enterprise testing, software. The new integrations have been validated by Mercury Interactive and will provide those organizations required to attain Section 508 compliance with solutions that test compliance prior to deployment, and monitor compliance with accessibility requirements in the production environment. The expanded alliance demonstrates HiSoftware’s commitment to delivering the industry's first applications to address accessibility throughout the application lifecycle.

HiSoftware has integrated AccVerify, the award-winning solution which verifies that Web sites are in compliance with accessibility standards for Web-based information, with Mercury Interactive's functional and regression testing software packages, WinRunner® and QuickTest™ Professional. WinRunner and QuickTest Professional, along with HiSoftware’ AccVerify, enable project teams to verify Web site accessibility in compliance with Section 508 and W3C® WCAG 1.0 “Priority 1-3” accessibility guidelines from the initial design stage through final quality assurance testing.
HiSoftware will also integrate AccMonitor Server, an automated accessibility testing solution for Web sites or for use in conjunction with intranet servers or file servers, with Mercury Interactive’s application performance management (APM) software, Topaz™. Used in conjunction with HiSoftware’s AccMonitor Server, Topaz will enable users to monitor the accessibility status of their Web sites post-deployment, through a remote, automated and scheduled system.
