Washington, DC

WHAT:

hold a Federal User Group Meeting in
Washington, DC on October 7, 2009.
Hosted by Dana Simberkoff, VP of
Public Sector, and Ken Nakata,
Director of HiSoftware’s
Accessibility Consulting Practice,
the meeting is a unique opportunity
for HiSoftware federal users to
network with colleagues across
Civilian and DoD agencies, share
experiences, and learn about the
latest solutions, trends and best
practices for federal agencies. This
meeting will feature guest speaker
Ken Salaets from the Information
Technology Industry Council (ITI)
who will present the new XML
specification for the Voluntary
Product Accessibility Template (VPAT)
used by most vendors and federal
agencies as part of the procurement
and acquisition process. A track on
how the HiSoftware Compliance
Sheriff Privacy Module can assist
Senior Agency Official for Privacy (SAOP)
with determining continued
compliance with stated web policies
and with the requirement for
machine-readability of public-facing
agency web sites (i.e. use of P3P)
for FISMA reporting will be
presented. The HiSoftware Government
User Community will also be launched
at the meeting with a demonstration
of this new interactive platform for
HiSoftware federal users to share
solutions, industry trends and
answers to frequently asked
questions.
